CITY HALL WORKERS THANK MAYOR POGI FOR FREE ANTI-FLU VAXX

Flordeliza Santos, President of the Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA), expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. for providing free flu vaccines to 4,744 city hall employees.

“This is another testament to Mayor Lazatin’s exceptional care for our city workers and his commitment to their well-being. With the changing climate and weather conditions, many are falling ill. The free flu vaccines ensure that our employees stay protected and healthy,” Santos said.

The city government, under Mayor Lazatin’s leadership, facilitated the vaccination of 4,744 city hall employees as part of the mayor’s ongoing efforts to safeguard their health.

“Once again, we thank Mayor Lazatin for his continuous care and for prioritizing our health. In return, we assure you of our unwavering commitment to providing high-quality service to the Angeleños, just as you value and care for us,” Santos added.

Mayor Lazatin explained that the initiative aims to protect city hall employees from respiratory diseases, which are more prevalent during seasonal transitions.

“This is part of our promise to prioritize the health of our workers, who are crucial in delivering the essential services to our constituents,” Mayor Lazatin said.

Recognizing the dedication of the city hall staff, Mayor Lazatin emphasized the importance of maintaining their health and well-being.

“We are merely reciprocating the hard work and dedication of our government employees by ensuring their health is given the attention it deserves,” the mayor added.

In a proactive approach to reduce the risk of flu transmission, Mayor Lazatin also deployed the Ronda Bakuna Bus, operated by the Angeles City Health Office, to streamline the vaccination process.

This initiative follows the 2022 effort led by Mayor Lazatin, which included Annual Physical Examinations (APE) and comprehensive medical screenings for city hall employees, such as blood pressure checks, chest X-rays, urinalysis, electrocardiograms, and blood tests.
