Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., together with his staff, sampled the nutrient-rich “rice soy” porridge provided by Rise Against Hunger, which will be served in a large-scale joint feeding program organized by his office in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, Grab Philippines, and the Red Pillars Foundation.

The program is set to benefit around 2,000 public school students from kindergarten to Grade 6 across the First District of Pampanga: 1,248 students from Marisol Bliss Elementary School in Angeles City; 608 from Macapagal Village Elementary School in Mabalacat City; and 156 from Sta. Lucia ES and 177 from Sta. Maria ES in Magalang.

Joining Congressman Lazatin were Chief Adviser and DOTr Asec. IC Calaguas, and Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel, supporting the initiative to promote child nutrition and community well-being.
