CONVERGE BACKS ‘DIG ONCE’ POLICY

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. reaffirmed its support for initiatives that improve efficiency and sustainability across the telecommunications industry, citing the importance of the “Dig Once” policy as reinforced by the Konektadong Pinoy Act.

The company said the policy benefits service providers, local government units, and cities by reducing repeated roadworks and streamlining infrastructure development. Converge also welcomed Makati’s development of an underground conduit network, noting that such initiatives open opportunities for collaboration and long-term urban planning.

Converge explained that unlike electric or water utilities, internet service providers are often required to secure permits before restoring damaged lines, even during emergencies. Underground conduits, the company said, help minimize cable cuts and damage, resulting in more reliable and consistent connectivity for customers.

The company emphasized its commitment to the principle of #TechForGood, underscoring that its efforts in connectivity, system integration, and innovation are aimed not only at business growth but also at uplifting communities. Converge added that partnerships with organizations such as the Makati Central Estate Association Inc. contribute to building a more connected and empowered society.
