The Provincial Government of Pampanga (PGP) distributed ₱4,000 each to 1,620 scholars under its Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP) on Tuesday.
The distribution ceremony, held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, gathered student-beneficiaries from cities and municipalities across the province. Acting Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda led the event on behalf of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, joined by Board Members Benny Jocson, Fritzie David-Dizon, Sajid Khan Eusoof, Nelson Calara, Pol Balingit, Cherry Manalo, Claire Lim, and JC Cruz.
“Magaral kayung masalese. Love na kayu ning Governor, at love na kayu namang Nanay,” Acting Governor Pineda told the scholars.
Board Member Cherry Manalo, also the president of the Pampanga Councilors League, emphasized the provincial government’s dedication to helping students achieve their educational goals, particularly those from low-income families.
“Deng kayanakan ila deng pag-asa ning probinsya. Ngeni, buri ning governor na eganaganang anak atin diploma,” she said.
One of the beneficiaries, Jhordean Arguiñoso, a 3rd-year Accountancy student, expressed gratitude for the financial assistance, which she said helps ease the burden of college expenses.
“Thankful po ako sa 4k, malaking tulong po ito sa aming college students. Maraming salamat po,” she said.
The EFAP, managed by the Provincial Library, provides financial aid to Kapampangan students needing support for their education.
