Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and Sangguniang Panlalawigan have brought holiday cheer to the residents of Pampanga by personally delivering Christmas food packs to over 560,000 households.
Embarking on a province-wide journey, the officials visited remote barangays, ensuring that the festive spirit reached every corner, from coastal indigent communities to the upland Aeta areas.
Corazon Mesina, a resident of Mabalacat City and member of the Aeta community, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the governor, holding back tears as she said, “Matula ku mu pu, kasi masaya ku, atsu na keng pusu ku pu ita makatanam nga ing egana-ganang binye nang Gov.”
The program also extended its reach to various sectoral groups, including scavengers, vendors, daycare workers, former rebels, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and barangay officials, demonstrating compassion and support during this special time.
Each recipient received 1kg of hotdogs and a whole chicken from the provincial government.
“Salamat pu king suportang bibye yu pu kareng programa mi pu di Nanay ampo reng Board Members yu pu. Penibala minala pu kareng Kapitan yu reng distribution king barangay para masiguro deng ngang mangailangang household king province midenan la pung food packs ibat king Kapitolyu ngening Pasku,” he explained.
Governor Delta said that this annual tradition reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to serving its people, utilizing government resources to spread joy and goodwill throughout the community.
