The long-awaited rehabilitation and upgrading of the main road in Barangay San Jose, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, has officially begun, offering relief for residents and motorists.
Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Board Member Ananias Canlas Jr., and Former Board Member Mylyn Pineda Cayabyab led the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

The project was initiated after the Barangay Captain raised concerns about the damaged and uneven road, which posed safety risks and caused significant inconvenience, particularly during the rainy season.
Governor Delta allocated a budget of PHP 4.1 million for the rehabilitation of the 182-meter road, which will be upgraded into a durable concrete pathway. The roadbed will also be raised by 50 cm to ensure better resilience against heavy rains and wear from traffic.
Construction has already begun, with an expected completion time of 45 days.
Governor Delta emphasized that such infrastructure projects are key to driving progress in the barangay, city, and the entire province. “This is not just about improving roads; it’s about paving the way for development and enhancing the lives of our people,” he said.
