Capitol gives aid to 638 Kapampangan dialysis patients

A total of 638 Kapampangan dialysis patients received medical assistance from the Pampanga Provincial Government. This is under the “Alagang Nanay Preventive Health Care Program” wherein beneficiaries get free check-ups and necessary medications including epoetin, insulin, and other maintenance drugs.

Elena Hernandez, whose brother relies on regular dialysis treatments, expressed her gratitude to the Capitol.

“This is a big help for all needy Kapampangans who cannot afford dialysis sessions, medications, and even kidney transplant,” she added.

For her part, Vice Governor Lilia Pineda stressed the importance of taking care of oneself as she urged families to prioritize their well-being to prevent any kidney-related diseases.

“I encourage everyone to take care of themselves because those who will have kidney-related illness will have to undergo kidney transplant, or will need to undergo dialysis treatment for a lifetime. Dialysis is very heavy and difficult especially to those who don’t have the financial capability, so let us take care of ourselves if possible,” she stated.

Beneficiaries also received financial assistance, food packs, and rice. (PIA 3)
