The provincial government led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda distributed financial aid to 12,945 Grade 12 graduates across the province under the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP).
On behalf of Governor Pineda, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee Chair on Education and Senior Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab led the distribution in various towns and cities in the province. She was joined by the members of the provincial board. Each beneficiary received a financial grant of P3,000.
Emphasizing the importance of education for their families and the province in general, Board Member Cayabyab encouraged graduates to explore career opportunities within the industrial and economic zones of Pampanga, as well as other avenues facilitated by the provincial government.
“Our Governor Delta wants you to pursue higher education. Now that you are entering college, ensure that your dedication to learning aligns with your professional aspirations. May you not only work for yourselves but also contribute to the advancement of your respective fields and for your families as well,” she conveyed.
She also assured the students on the continuing support of the provincial government until they complete their studies and become professionals.
Augustin Mark, a beneficiary hailing from Minalin and a recent Grade 12 graduate, conveyed his appreciation for the program. Despite the adversities he is now facing, Mark expressed how the financial support significantly ease the burden of his parents.
The Provincial Library reported that an additional 2,802 students are set to receive the same assistance this week.
