Capitol holds consultative meeting with Pampanga LGUs

The Provincial Government of Pampanga convened a consultative meeting with local government units (LGUs) across the province to strengthen coordination and cooperation in addressing key local concerns.

The meeting was led by Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda and Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda, who gathered local officials to discuss priority programs and pressing issues affecting communities in Pampanga.

Governor Pineda called on local leaders to work together in advancing programs focused on education, healthcare, and the overall welfare of Kapampangans.

During the meeting, participants discussed several challenges faced by LGUs, including issues on the ownership of school properties under Department of Education, the issuance of business permits and licensing, solid waste management, the implementation of Provincial Ordinance No. 878, the province’s anti-drug campaign, and the rising cases of animal bites.

Vice Governor Pineda also urged local officials to ensure that systems and documentation are properly addressed to improve public service delivery.

Present during the meeting were members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, department heads of the provincial government, local chief executives, members of municipal and city councils, as well as representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government Pampanga, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region III, and the Registry of Deeds.

The consultative meeting forms part of the provincial government’s continuing efforts to enhance collaboration among LGUs in addressing development concerns across Pampanga.
