Capitol inaugurates ₱50.2-M worth of school buildings, classrooms in Arayat

The Provincial Government of Pampanga reinforced its commitment to education with the inauguration and ribbon-cutting of more than ₱50.2 million worth of newly constructed school buildings and classrooms in various public schools across the Municipality of Arayat on Friday.

Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the inauguration ceremonies and underscored that investments in education are not favors from government officials but obligations owed to the people, particularly to the youth who represent the future of the province. He emphasized that students should not feel indebted to public servants, as it is the government’s duty to ensure that public funds are properly allocated and used for their benefit.

“Ala kayung dapat tatanawan a utang a lub kekaming manungkulan yu. Obligasyun mi ing i-assure kekayu na miras la king ustu reng pondu ning gobyernu,” he said.

The projects inaugurated include the new Arayat National High School building in Barangay Arenas with a project cost of ₱8,312,176.80; the newly built classrooms at Justino Sevilla High School in Mangga Cacutud amounting to ₱11,410,056.40; the newly constructed school building at Suclayin Elementary School worth ₱11,297,500.30; the new building at San Juan Baño Elementary School costing ₱8,060,581.17; and the new facility at San Juan Baño High School valued at ₱11,114,381.60.

These newly completed facilities are expected to provide safer, more comfortable, and more conducive learning environments for both students and teachers, supporting improved educational outcomes and overall student welfare.

Vice Governor Pineda also highlighted the full support of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda in prioritizing education as a key pillar of provincial development. The provincial government continues to invest in quality educational infrastructure to enhance learning conditions and expand opportunities for Kapampangan youth.

Also present during the inauguration activities were Angelina Blanco, Chief of Staff to the Vice Governor; Arayat Mayor Jeffrey Luriz; Magalang Mayor Malu Lacson; as well as school administrators, teachers, and students, who expressed their appreciation for the provincial government’s sustained commitment to strengthening public education.
