Capitol inaugurates ₱8.8-M school building

The provincial government of Pampanga inaugurated a new two-storey school building at the San Vicente Pilot School for Philippine Craftsmen in Barangay Bulaon to further strengthen technical-vocational education for Kapampangan youth.

The ₱8.8-million facility, completed in six months, will serve more than 1,300 students and features four fully equipped classrooms designed as workshops for technical-vocational courses. Each classroom is furnished with wall fans, blackboards, and student chairs to support hands-on skills training.

School Principal Narciso Memdiola Jr. said the inauguration coincided with the institution’s 50th anniversary, underscoring its long-standing commitment to skills development. He noted that the new facility reflects the school’s dedication to providing quality education and practical training that prepare students for productive employment.

During his second term, Vice Governor Dennis Pineda allocated around ₱400 million for the construction of school buildings across the province, highlighting the Capitol’s sustained investment in the education sector.

Originally located in Bacolor, the school was relocated to Barangay Bulaon Resettlement following the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo, allowing it to continue equipping students with trade and craftsmanship skills despite past calamities.

The new building will enhance learning conditions and further strengthen training programs that support local industries and economic growth, reaffirming the government’s commitment to empowering the youth through skills-based education.
