Mabalacat City Mayor Cris Garbo led the cash for work payouts to participants of the youth profiling program. The event took place at the Dolores covered court, where 120 beneficiaries received a sum of 9,500 pesos each.
The Cash for Work program aims to empower the youth by providing them with opportunities to contribute meaningfully to their community while earning a fair wage. By participating in various community projects and initiatives through the City Youth Development Office, these young individuals not only gain valuable skills and experiences but also develop a sense of responsibility and pride in giving back to the city.
Mayor Cris Garbo expressed his appreciation for the hard work and dedication shown by the youth profiling participants. He emphasized the importance of investing in the younger generation and creating avenues for them to actively participate in shaping the future of Mabalacat City.
According to CYDO head Jaira Lomahan, the distribution of the cash for work payouts signifies the city government’s commitment to supporting its youth and strengthen a culture of inclusivity and empowerment.
