Cebu Pacific to launch Manila-Sapporo direct flights

Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading budget carrier, is set to launch the first direct flights from Manila to Sapporo, Japan, starting January 16, 2025. Operating three times weekly—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—this new route offers travelers an affordable and convenient way to reach Japan’s famed “City of Snow” with Cebu Pacific’s signature low fares.

“We’re excited to be the only airline offering non-stop flights between Manila and Sapporo. This launch aligns with Cebu Pacific’s mission to expand our international network, bringing more destinations within reach for our passengers. Now, more Filipinos can experience the winter wonderland of Sapporo,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer.

With the direct flight, travelers can reach Sapporo in just five hours, compared to up to 10 hours with layovers on other airlines. This new service opens up opportunities for Filipinos to explore Sapporo’s famous winter attractions, including the Sapporo Snow Festival in February, the Teine Ski Resort, and the relaxing hot springs of Jozankei Onsen.

CEB passengers can use Travel Funds for bookings, with additional payment options available through credit or debit cards and e-wallets. Cebu Pacific currently serves 35 domestic and 27 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
