The City College of Angeles (CCA) officially kicked off its accreditation process with the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) on March 16, 2026. The event, held at Bulwagang Angeleño, marks a significant step toward achieving Candidate Status and Level 1 Accreditation.

Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II expressed his full support for the city’s educational initiatives, highlighting the importance of strengthening local academic institutions.

Dr. Elizabeth Montero, ALCUCOA Supervising Accreditor, led the proceedings, providing guidance on the evaluation process. CCA’s administrators, deans, faculty, and staff participated actively, showcasing their commitment to meeting and surpassing national higher education standards.

The accreditation milestone reflects CCA’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and preparing future professionals in Angeles City.
