Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., as Lazatin commenced the distribution of school supplies to some 3,063 students from 61 Day Care students on Wednesday, 11 September.

The school supplies distribution, which will be scheduled for five (5) days, was financed by Cong Pogi from his personal funds.

Each day care student will receive a tote bag with a set of school supplies, including crayons, notebooks, pencil, eraser, sharpener, and writing pad. Parents of each day care student will, meanwhile, receive five (5) kilos of rice.

Last June 28, when Lazatin officially announced his candidacy for Representative of the First District of Pampanga, the Mayor gave a promise to provide school supplies AS his personal donation.

Mayor Pogi will also distribute school supplies in Magalang in the coming weeks.

‘Cong’ is a contraction of the Kapampangan word, ‘coya’/’coyang’, used to address an older male.
