Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and Co-Founder of Converge ICT Solutions Inc., has been honored with the Country Movers Award by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI). This prestigious recognition highlights his transformative impact on the fixed broadband industry and his efforts to accelerate digitalization in the Philippines.
The award was presented during the 50th Philippine Business Conference and Expo, where PCCI celebrated leaders who have significantly contributed to national progress, job creation, and sustainable development.
Reflecting on his journey, Uy emphasized his commitment to leveraging technology to address Filipino connectivity needs. “From building cable networks in Pampanga to entering the fixed broadband market, our focus has been on providing reliable and quality internet through fiber technology,” said Uy. He also highlighted Converge’s partnerships with government agencies like DICT, DOTr, and DTI to enhance public services and support digital transformation.
PCCI President Enunina V. Mangio lauded Uy’s achievements, stating, “Converge has been a catalyst in advancing digitalization and broadband adoption in the Philippines, making it a key driver of development in the ICT sector.”
Under Uy’s leadership, Converge has diversified its offerings, introducing new products for enterprises and home-based businesses while expanding its cloud and data center capabilities. The company recently reported a 14.1% revenue growth for the first nine months of 2024, with its residential subscriber base reaching 2.5 million and household coverage at nearly 64%.
