Leading fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is expanding its distribution network by tapping mobile phone and gadget retailer TL Sales and Management Services Inc. (TLSMS) which operates over 200 stores nationwide, including those located in the country’s biggest malls.
TLSMS has an expansive footprint in malls nationwide under the brand names Cellboy, Gaming Grounds, Cell Time, Games & Gadgets, Gadget Plus, BOMA Tech, and Cyber Center. These gadget stores are widely available in malls such as SM (in SM Cyberzones) and Ayala Malls.
“We are working hard to expand our channels at the moment. We’ve been looking at partners with a wide reach, to get as many customers as we can and we think we’ve found the right partner in TLSMS. Through their vast network of stores under their seven brands, which, by the way, are present in the country’s biggest malls, we will be able to bring our world-class fiber broadband connection even closer to customers,” said Jesus C. Romero, Converge Chief Operations Officer.
“At the core of our partnership with Converge is a shared vision to empower Filipinos through technology. As a retailer, we offer more than just a mobile device; we offer a solution to enhance and simplify their digital lives. With this opportunity to sell Converge products and services, we are going a step further in this mission,” said Alvin Chu Teng, CEO of TLSMS.
TLSMS-owned stores started offering Converge broadband products on October 1, 2023 such as its flagship FiberX plans which start at P1,500 a month for 200 Mbps unlimited internet, low-cost BIDA Fiber internet at P888 a month for 35 Mbps speed and up to six devices connected, and the prepaid Surf2Sawa product that allows as low as P50 load for unlimited data for one day at 25 Mbps speed for up to six devices.
Aside from its business centers, Converge is being carried by the following retail partners: USSC (Western Union), Microgold Pawnshop (Tambunting Pawnshops), Sta. Monica Pawnshop, and ACM International (VIP Payment Center). The Kislap Multipurpose Cooperative and the Carmona Multipurpose Cooperative likewise receive subscription applications for Converge.
