Converge leads the way in Philippine Broadband

There’s good news for Filipino internet users: Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has been recognized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) as the country’s national broadband leader, delivering the fastest speeds, lowest latency, and most consistent fixed broadband performance as of December 2025.

Based on the DICT’s latest assessment under its Oplan Bantay Signal program, Converge posted an impressive average speed of 193.61 Mbps in Metro Manila, combining both download and upload results. The finding was drawn from nearly 700,000 speed tests—evidence, the report said, of “excellence at massive urban scale.”

The nationwide monitoring initiative evaluates network service quality and coverage across the country, measuring key indicators such as speed, latency, and consistency. In this latest report, Converge emerged on top in crucial performance metrics, logging the best average download speed, the best upload speed—reflecting strong symmetric performance—and a latency of just 10.67 milliseconds, ideal for real-time applications like video calls, gaming, and online learning.

“Converge ICT’s performance sets the national benchmark for fixed broadband excellence,” DICT Secretary Henry Aguda said in the report. “The company demonstrates that fiber infrastructure can deliver consistent, high-quality service across diverse geographic conditions.”

For Converge, the recognition is both an honor and a motivation to keep improving. Chief Operations Officer Benjamin Azada said the results affirm the company’s continuing efforts to strengthen its network nationwide.

“Beyond upload and download speeds, we are actively improving our network for greater reliability and consistency, while also enhancing connectivity in select parts of the country,” Azada said. “This recognition is a badge of honor, but it also reminds us of our responsibility to do better.”

Azada added that Converge welcomes DICT’s balanced review, including areas identified for improvement. The company, he said, remains committed to investing not only in network expansion but also in repair, recovery, and upgrades, especially in areas with intermittent connectivity.

The DICT findings further reinforce earlier third-party assessments. In the first half of 2025, global analytics firm Ookla named Converge as the Fastest Fixed Network in the Philippines, while also recognizing it for Best ISP Video Experience, Best ISP Gaming Experience, and Best Fixed Network overall.

Secretary Aguda said Converge’s performance shows what is possible for the country’s digital future. “Converge has set the standard for fixed broadband in the Philippines, proving that world-class connectivity is possible for every community,” he said. “In line with the President’s vision that no one should be left offline, and through the Digital Bayanihan initiative, we are committed to bringing reliable internet to every Filipino—so education, entrepreneurship, and opportunity are within reach for all.”

As the country continues its digital transformation, Converge’s latest milestone signals a brighter, faster, and more connected future for Filipino homes and communities.
