Converge sets travelers’ Christmas spirit aglow at NAIA Terminal 3

The Philippines’ fastest-growing fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is ready to put travelers in a festive mood as it lit up an impressive 30-foot Christmas tree bedecked in vibrant teal and purple colors, in the airport’s biggest passenger hub – just one of the many gifts it is giving passengers this holiday season.

The broadband operator rang in the Christmas season early this year not only by providing free wifi at NAIA Terminal 3 but by installation of the towering Christmas tree, infusing the atmosphere at the passenger terminal with cheer and spirit.

“We want passengers to feel the Christmas spirit even in transit points such as the airport and having these luminous decor and ornaments, aside from the strong fiber connection we provided, go a long way in uplifting the travelers’ experience,” said Converge VP and Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations Jay-Anne Encarnado.

The Christmas tree, located in Departure Area 7, was illuminated as part of the powering-up ceremony of the Converge free public Wifi held November 14. Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy, Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, Manila International Airport Authority Bryan Co, and Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano did the honor of setting alight the splendid display.

The captivating spectacle of colors and light was made even more grand with the accompaniment of Filipino Christmas carols, lively sung by the Bulacan-based Legion of Mary choir. The 19-member chorale regaled the guests and passengers alike with holiday favorites such as ’Halina,Halina’, ‘Kumukutikutitap’ at ‘Pasko sa Pinas’.

“Whatever their destination may be, I hope Filipino and foreign travelers may imbibe the holiday spirit with this festive atmosphere, especially as NAIA prepares for the rush of holiday travel this December,” added Encarnado.

For the Converge free public wifi, passengers are given 120 minutes of browsing per registered device. Converge subscribers with a GoFiber account may enjoy six additional hours of free internet if they input their account number in the login page. Customers of its affordable fiber prepaid, Surf2Sawa, may also get the same additional hours of internet by providing their account number upon logging in.
