Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Pampanga Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano, led tha assessment on various services and programs of the Mabalacat City Local Government Unit relative to the requirements for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) CY 2023. 

The DILG Provincial Director was joined by CTL – Renalyn Iglesias, LGOO VI – Rowena Ocampo, LGOO II – Pamela Herrera, Admin Assistant II – Julius Lubo, and DILG staff – Josie Cayabyab in the assessment.

Mayor Cris Garbo, along with City Administrator Franco Alejo Madlangbayan and the department heads of Mabalacat City Government, Philippine National Police, and City Planning and Development Office Staff, participated in the assessment.  

There are ten (10) areas that should be assessed to foster a culture of good governance despite of the challenges in the city: Financial Administration and Sustainability, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection and Sensitivity, Youth Development, Safety Peace and Order, Environmental Management, Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Health Compliance and Responsiveness, Sustainable Education, and Tourism Heritage Development, Culture and Arts.
