DILG turns over 2 garbage trucks to Dinalupihan municipal government

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) turned-over two garbage trucks to the municipal government of Dinalupihan in Bataan. The P5-million worth project was funded under the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF), which was provided to the local government unit (LGU) for passing the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Assessment.

DILG Regional Office III Capability Development Division OIC-Chief Lee Allen Pineda said the turnover marked Dinalupihan as the 18th LGU to successfully complete the SGLGIF project nationwide.

The milestone of completing the project is not only for completion reason but an evidence that the LGU deserves the SGLG.

“This project will serve its purpose to boost the LGU’s solid waste management response in the community,” Pineda added.

Meanwhile, DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina Herman underscored that the success of the project will definitely contribute to the fulfillment of AmBisyon Natin 2040, which aims for a “Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Pamumuhay para sa Lahat ng mga Pilipino.”

“In Bataan, we cannot settle for anything less than excellent public service,” she added.

For his part, Mayor German M. Santos Jr. said they are very grateful for the support and assistance of DILG towards the realization of the project.

He also expressed his hope for more SGLG passers in the province of Bataan this year.

The SGLGIF, formerly known as Performance Challenge Fund, is an incentive given in the form of a financial grant to eligible LGUs under the Local Governance Performance Management Program. (PIA 3)
