DITO Telecommunity has committed to repair and construct multiple law enforcement outposts inside the Subic Bay Freeport under a newly signed partnership with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
The agreement was sealed through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between SBMA Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño and DITO Community President and CEO Ernesto Alberto at the SBMA Corporate Boardroom on November 24, 2025. SBMA Chief of Staff Atty. Von Rodriguez and DITO Chief Commercial Officer Atty. Adel Tamano served as witnesses.
Under the MOA, DITO will replace eight existing outposts used by the SBMA Law Enforcement Department (LED), rehabilitate two container vans functioning as police outposts, and construct three new ones across the Freeport.
Aliño expressed gratitude to DITO for supporting the Freeport’s safety initiatives, noting that improved and expanded outpost facilities will help deter criminal activity and strengthen law enforcement presence.
Alberto said DITO is committed to enhancing security within the Freeport through infrastructure support while also promoting the company’s services in the area.
DITO Telecommunity, the country’s newest major telco, began commercial operations in March 2021 and aims to provide secure, fast, and high-value 4G and 5G services. It is a joint venture of Udenna Corporation, Chelsea Logistics Holdings Corp., and China Telecommunications Corporation.
