The Department of Health (DOH) Central Luzon Center for Health Development held the Regional Signing Ceremony for the Healthy Workplace and Wellness Movement Program on Tuesday, November 12, at the Best Western Plus Metro Clark. The event was led by Assistant Regional Director Dr. Lailani Mangulabnan alongside OIC-LHSD Chief Dr. Maria Eloisa Vidar.
Dr. Trisha Denise Cendeño and Joanna Martinez of the DOH Health Promotion Bureau outlined the directions of the Healthy Workplace Program and the Healthy Health Facilities Program. Edward Sayre, Senior Labor and Employment Officer from the Department of Labor and Employment Region 3, also attended to show DOLE’s support for the initiative.
The event brought together key figures from regional healthcare facilities, including Dr. Monserrat Chichioco of Jose B. Lingad Memorial and General Hospital, Dr. Isabel Gallardo of Talavera General Hospital, and Dr. Renely Tungol of Joni Villanueva General Hospital. Dr. Christian Salazar represented the Nueva Ecija Provincial Health Office, while additional government agencies, local government units, and private organizations were present to express their support, including the Occupational Health Nurses Association of the Philippines.
The Healthy Workplace and Healthy Health Facilities Program aims to create safer, healthier, and more productive workplaces in Central Luzon. Dr. Mangulabnan emphasized the collective responsibility in promoting workplace health, saying, “This is a call to action for all: to create environments where employees are supported, encouraged to prioritize their health, and where health-conscious practices are woven into daily operations. Let us help our employees to choose the healthier choice every time.”
The signing ceremony represents a significant commitment to fostering resilient and health-focused work environments in Central Luzon.
