The Department of Health (DOH) successfully hosted a three-day media conference titled “Engaging Media for Health Literacy” from April 2 to 4, 2025, aimed at enhancing health awareness across multiple regions in the country. The event, held in Bataan, brought together media representatives from the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon.
Organized by the DOH Central Luzon Center for Health Development in collaboration with the Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital, the conference provided a collaborative platform for both national and local media practitioners. It focused on strengthening health literacy and engaging media partners in key health topics that affect communities.

Throughout the event, discussions covered important issues such as immunization and vaccine hesitancy, rabies prevention and responsible pet ownership, and cancer awareness. The DOH used this opportunity to share updates and insights, empowering the media to effectively communicate essential health messages to the public.
This initiative is part of the DOH’s ongoing efforts to promote public health education and engage media partners in raising awareness on critical health issues.
