The Department of Health (DOH) Central Luzon Center for Health Development has deployed medical teams to evacuation centers across the region to ensure the welfare of families displaced by Super Typhoon Nando. The move is in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to prioritize the needs of affected communities.
As of Wednesday, 305 families—or a total of 915 individuals—remain in evacuation centers. Services provided include health consultations and monitoring, particularly for children and senior citizens, as well as the distribution of free medicines.
