DOST gives internet connectivity to 25 remote schools in Gabaldon

Department of Science and Technology (DOST) provided internet connectivity to a total of 25 far flung schools in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija. It distributed about 26 units of Starlink Satellite Internet Service to the schools as well as the municipal district office of the Department of Education.

In his message, DOST Undersecretary Teodoro Gatchalian said the dream of providing internet connectivity to geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas became a reality under their expanded Community Empowerment through Science and Technology Program.

“Starlink is a project of SpaceX that aims to empower schools with fast and reliable internet connection that opens new opportunities for online learning, collaboration, and research,” he furthered.
