Department of Tourism – Region III (DOT-III) met with the Local Government Unit of Porac on February 18, 2026, to strengthen efforts in developing nature-based and sustainable tourism initiatives in the municipality.
During the meeting, DOT-III outlined key programs and strategic interventions aimed at enhancing tourism activities and maximizing the potential of Community-Based Tourism (CBT). Discussions focused on Porac’s abundant natural resources and rich cultural heritage, including its ancestral domains, which offer strong opportunities for responsible tourism development.


Officials emphasized that sustainable tourism practices can promote environmental stewardship, preserve cultural integrity, and ensure inclusive growth for Indigenous Cultural Communities.
The meeting concluded with a unified commitment from both DOT-III and the Porac LGU to align strategies and implement concrete actions that will position Porac as a leading nature-based tourism destination in Central Luzon.
