President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignation of Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan, effective September. 1, 2025, Malacañang announced Sunday, August 31.

Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon has been appointed as the new DPWH chief, with a mandate to spearhead an anti-corruption drive and conduct a full organizational sweep of the agency.
Atty. Giovanni Lopez will serve as Acting Transportation Secretary.
