A total of 1,735 students from Guagua National Colleges (GNC) received financial help from the Pampanga government on Friday, October 18, through its Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP).

Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution, joined by Guagua Mayor Anthony Joseph “Tonton” Torres and other officials.

The EFAP gives students P4,000 in cash support twice a year to help with school expenses.

In his speech, Governor Pineda reminded the scholars to focus on their studies and the importance of finishing school.

“Mga anak, kahit sakto lang ang marka, okay na ‘yon. Ang mahalaga, pasado. Pag nakatapos kayo, tulungan niyo muna ang mga magulang ninyo,” he said.

He also promised that his administration would continue to support students in their education.

Eivan Rheine Morales, one of the scholars, expressed gratitude to Governor Delta. She said “Dakal pung salamat kang Gov. Delta, maragul ya pung saup ining educational financial assistance para kekaming estudyanti, para pu king aldo-aldo ming gastusin keng iskwela.”
