Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda led today, March 12, the medical mission where 2,200 female health volunteers in Pampanga received several diagnostic services. The activity is part of the celebration of National Women’s Month.
The volunteers—called Nanay Community Workers (NCWs) and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs)—- availed of consultations, pap smear test, breast examination, cervical X-ray, ECG, dental extraction and UACR (Urine Albumin Creatinine Ratio) in mobile clinics set up by the provincial capitol, Lab for All and Department of Health at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.

The NCWs and BHWs also availed of free reading glasses and medicines. They were also given food packs with rice and canned goods, and cash.
Doctors gave lectures on breast and gynecological cancers.
It is not only during women’s month that we do health screening. We hold regular medical missions).”

Senator Francis Tolentino hailed Pampanga leaders for being number one in various fields.
“Number 1 na nagpatupad ng COVID-19 vaccination ang Pampanga; number 1 na nagko-comply sa Universal Health Care Law, Pampanga; at makikita po natin, highest vaccination rate among most populous provinces awarded by the DOH last December 22, 2022; outstanding performance award for reporting risk and outbreaks of communicable diseases, Pampanga. So, ang ibig sabihin, ang liderato ng Pampanga, sa pangunguna nina Governor at Vice Governor Pineda, ay binibigyan ng prayoridad ang inyong kalusugan,” the senator noted.
Governor Pineda urged the NCWs and BHWs to identify those needing medical assistance at the early stage of their ailment.
“Sana pu aliwa naman pu ita pung grabi namu pu ing lalawen tamu, hangga’t maaari, tang early stage pamu pu, magkaproblema pamu pu, akit mine pung kaagad Nanay, apaulu mi ne pu (Please prioritize those showing signs of early stages of ailments so we can help in the treatment before they get so severely sick),” the governor said.
