Atty. Claire Lim, current Liga ng mga Barangay President and barangay chairman of Jose Abad Santos (Siran), has officially declared her bid for Pampanga 2nd District Board Member, vowing to champion education, culture, the arts, and stronger barangay support.
From leading at the grassroots level to representing all barangay captains in the province, Lim said her campaign is grounded in firsthand experience of the needs and aspirations of local communities.
“I started as a barangay captain, working directly with people from all walks of life,” she said. “As Liga President, I now see the broader landscape — and I’m ready to bring both local concerns and long-term solutions to the Provincial Board.”
Her platform focuses on two key priorities:
- Advancing education, culture, and the arts in all corners of the province
- Sustaining support for barangays, which she refers to as her “first political family”
Among her proposed initiatives:
- Establishing more integrated high schools in far-flung barangays to reduce dropout rates and make education more accessible
- Supporting capacity-building and wellness programs for individuals at the barangay level
- Launching barangay-based culture and arts programs, including music, dance, visual arts, and culinary workshops
- Promoting the preservation of Kapampangan heritage through support for local historians, writers, and advocates
- Creating cultural and creative hubs across districts to provide youth with spaces for learning, expression, and development
Atty. Lim also reaffirmed her full support for the administration of Governor Dennis Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, emphasizing the need to sustain their successful programs in education, health, and rural development.
“As a Board Member, I will work hand in hand with the Pineda administration to ensure quality services for our barangays, our youth, and our communities,” Lim said.
She added that her values of 𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑎𝑘𝑖𝑡, 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑙𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛, and 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑝 were deeply shaped by her barangay roots.
“Public service must always be rooted in empathy and action — from the smallest sitio to the largest town,” Lim said. “I want to make education accessible, culture visible, and the arts alive in every barangay.”
If elected, she pledged to strengthen partnerships among barangay councils, schools, cultural organizations, and the provincial government to ensure that no community is left behind.
