Executive Assistant to the Governor of Pampanga Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab took a proactive role in addressing the urgent issue of flooding in the capital city of San Fernando.
Mobilizing beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program on August 26, 2024, Pineda-Cayabyab led an initiative to clear clogged drainage canals in BarangaysπΊππ π·ππ ππ πͺππππ , π«ππππππ and πΊππ. π³ππππ.
This move directly aligned with the response to a call from the local business sector for Governor Dennis Pineda to take decisive action against persistent flooding in the area.
Complementing Pineda-Cayabyab’s efforts, Governor Pineda deployed heavy equipment and personnel tasked with the opening and declogging of the sewerage systems along major thoroughfares, notably the essential Jose Abad Santos Avenue.
Pineda-Cayabyab emphasized the significance of maintaining clean waterways, stating, βMakatulong po sana ito para maibsan kahit papaano ang mga pagbaha sa barangay. Pagmalasakitan po sana natin at panatilihing malinis ang mga daluyan ng tubig.β
