The Filipino Fashion Fair, the fashion extravaganza organized by SM Supermalls in partnership with Philippine Fashion Coalition, opened its last leg today, May 12, at SM City Clark.
Prior to its SM City Clark staging, the Filipino Fashion Fair, which showcases the works of renowned Filipino designers Beatriz, Puey Quiñones, Marlon C. Tuazon, Costa Del Sol, Vin Orias, Jor-El Espina, Calli, Fashx Collective and OTG Easy Beauty, took off at SM Lanang Premier in Davao, SM Seaside City Cebu, SM City Pampanga.
Jerwin Jalandoni, SM City Clark mall manager, congratulated the Philippine Fashion Coalition for “successfully unifying a diverse group of visionaries and creatives representing the regions of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with a goal to standardize and develop the (fashion) industry.”
Meanwhile, Carmina Sanchez Jacob of the Philippine Fashion Coalition expressed that “SM Supermalls is the best partner in staging the Filipino Fashion Fair to create a regional leg for the different designers that work in the different regions of the Philippines to showcase their products.”
Jacob added that most of the designers included in the Filipino Fashion Fair do not really have retail shops, “so the reason we bring them here is for everyone to have a chance to purchase what would normally be items for export.”
True to form, the items featured at the Filipino Fashion Fair include world-class bespoke bags and accessories, designer gowns, barongs, blouses and dresses and so much more.
The Filipino Fashion Fair is on at SM City Clark until Mother’s Day, May 14.
