The Mabalacat City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) led the staging of the first ever Cook Fest at Santungan (Bahay Pag-asa) for Children At Risk and Children in Conflict with the Law.
The theme of this 2024 annual celebration is “”Sa PPAN, Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat para sa Lahat.”
Mayor Crisostomo Garbo said that the Cook Fest is just one of the programs of the local government to provide guidance and support to the youth in need of assistance and rehabilitation.
City Nutrition Action Officer Dyan Jasmine Manguera and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Josephine Tanglao are also accompanied by Councilor Cherry Manalo and Councilor Liza Pineda.
The youth in Santungan thoroughly enjoyed their participation in the Cook Fest, where they turned into instant chefs and prepared nutritious meals. The activity not only highlighted the value of nutrition, and gave the youth an opportunity to showcase their cooking skills and talents.
Following the success of the Santungan Cook Fest, the Mabalacat City Government will continue to respond to the needs of the youth and implement programs aimed at improving their condition.
