To protect students and teachers from dengue in time for the opening of classes, the Angeles City government, through the Anti-Dengue Task Force, is set to conduct fumigation activities in 55 public schools here as part of Brigada Eskwela, with the aim to protect students and teachers from dengue in time for the opening of classes.

Mayor Lazatin instructed the Angeles City anti-dengue task force, formed from the City Health Office Sanitation Division, to start the fogging activities on July 3, 2024.

“Kailangang matiyak na ligtas ang mga mag-aaral at guro sa dengue, bago mag-umpisa ang klase,” Mayor Lazatin said.

Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel will supervise the said operation together with Angeles City Economic Development Investment Promotions Office (ACEDIPO) Chief Irish Bonus-Llego.

Department of Education (DepEd) Angeles City Schools Division Superintendent Engr. Edgard Domingo expressed his sincere gratitude to Mayor Lazatin for always taking in consideration the welfare of Angeleño learners.

“Our salute to Mayor Lazatin for his efforts to make our schools the best place for our students to be educated,” Engr. Domingo said.

To recall, fumigation is among the priorities of Mayor Lazatin to prevent the spread of dengue in Angeles City since he took office in 2019.
