GFP Creative Production will kick off its very own Ultimate Pride “‘𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻’ 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 (𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗘) on June 30, 2023, in Angeles City.
The event aims to promote and support gender equality as well as the identity and romantic orientations of LGBTQIA+ communities in the country.
GFPCP executives led by its CEO Patricia Cortez said that the Ultimate Pride Parade of Rainbows is a combination of fun, arts, music, and competition. It will be an annual event that will be slated in Angeles City, nearby provinces in Central Luzon and different provinces in other regions.
Activities lined up in the culmination include a float parade, a fashion show, plus drag queen appearances and performances.
Cortez said, “There can be many pride parades, but there can only be one ultimate — and that is the GFPCP’s Pride Parade of Rainbows.”
June is Pride Month — one of the most anticipated, happy, lively, and colorful events in the world.
Since its pilot in June 1970, thousands of LGBT+ people have gathered to demonstrate for equal rights.
In the Philippines, since the First Pride March in 1994, the LGBT community has continued to celebrate this event every June, where both LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies gather together. As of May 2020, Central Luzon’s population of LGBTQIA+ totaled 12,422,172 (Philippine Statistics Authority).
