Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has been elected as the new Executive Vice President of the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) during its first General Assembly held today.

Joining her in the newly elected national leadership of the LPP are South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. as National President and Quirino Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua as National Chairman.

The oath-taking of the new officers was administered by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr.

In his message, Secretary Remulla urged governors to strengthen collaboration across provinces in preparation for reviewing, refining, and implementing reforms under the forthcoming Local Government Code of 2026.
