Globe Telecom has sealed a partnership with First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Inc. to provide fast, secure, and reliable fiber internet connectivity to businesses operating inside the industrial park in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
Formalized through a memorandum of agreement, the collaboration will enable Globe to deliver enterprise-grade fiber connectivity to more than 150 FPIP locators and over 80,000 employees. The enhanced digital infrastructure is expected to support seamless operations, real-time collaboration, and data-driven decision-making for both global and local manufacturers based in the park.
Globe Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Program Michelle Y. Ora said the partnership reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering world-class connectivity to Philippine businesses, empowering FPIP locators with high-speed and secure digital tools that drive productivity and global competitiveness.
The partnership is supported by FPIP’s shared dark fiber facility, established in 2023, which allows Globe to deploy services more efficiently while maximizing existing infrastructure and expanding connectivity options for locators.
FPIP Assistant Vice President and Head for Park and Utilities Group Jason delas Alas said reliable and secure internet connectivity is essential in today’s fast-paced, data-driven environment. He added that FPIP continues to strengthen its digital backbone to meet the evolving and diverse needs of its locators.
Established in 1996, FPIP is a PEZA-registered special economic zone jointly developed by First Philippine Holdings and Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation. Spanning nearly 600 hectares, the industrial park hosts over 150 leading companies in aerospace, automotive, electronics, consumer goods, and medical devices.
The contract signing was attended by executives from Globe and FPIP, marking a key milestone in strengthening the industrial park’s digital infrastructure and supporting its long-term growth through world-class connectivity.
