Globe extends aid, restores connectivity in Nando-hit Areas

Globe has rolled out extensive relief and restoration efforts in Northern Luzon following the devastation of Super Typhoon Nando. The company reported that connectivity in Apayao, Batanes, Ifugao, Kalinga, La Union, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and Zambales has now been fully restored, with teams prioritizing high-impact areas to ensure residents, local governments, and emergency responders remain connected.

To assist affected communities, Globe activated Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations across Cagayan and Ilocos Norte from September 23 to 25, offering free calls and device-charging services for residents in hard-hit areas.

In addition, Globe partnered with Rise Against Hunger (RAH) to distribute 600 ready-to-eat meal packs to communities in Brgy. Pasaleng, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, and Brgy. Paddaya, Aparri, Cagayan. More relief operations are underway in coordination with local government units.

As part of its #AlagangGlobe commitment, the telco also launched support packages for affected customers:

  • Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers received free unlimited calls and texts to all networks, plus 200MB of data.
  • Globe Postpaid and GFiber Postpaid users were granted extended payment due dates.
  • Globe at Home Prepaid WiFi subscribers received 5GB of free data valid for three days.
  • GFiber Prepaid users had their promos automatically extended for three days.

Customers are also encouraged to support ongoing relief operations by donating Globe Rewards points or contributing via GCash to the Ayala Foundation–Hapag Movement through the GlobeOne app.

Globe said it will continue to provide updates on its social media channels as operations progress in the coming days.
