Gov. Delta’s Ayta scholar passes Social Work Exam

Enrique Saplala, an Ayta native, recently passed the social workers licensure exam, proving that he could achieve what others can. Saplala was one of the lucky scholars under Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda’s program.

“I am thankful to Gov. Delta because he supported our education. I saw how much he values us, the indigenous people,” Saplala said.

On Monday, Saplala, accompanied by Provincial Social Welfare Officer Fe Manarang, visited Gov. Delta to personally thank him for the support he received throughout his studies.

“As an indigenous person, I’m proud because I never expected to reach this point. Many people helped me finish school and get my license. I won’t use this license for myself alone but also to help my fellow indigenous people and others in need,” Saplala shared.

His advice to fellow indigenous students is to stay focused on their studies, pray, and never give up on their dreams, because nothing is impossible for those who aim high.
