In a bid to improve public service delivery across the province, the Provincial Government of Pampanga has distributed service vehicles to six barangays.
Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, joined by Board Member Claire Lim and Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, led the awarding ceremony held at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in this city on Wednesday, July 17.
During the event, Gov. Delta personally handed over the symbolic key to barangay officials to mark the official turnover of 15-seater Foton 2024 Transvans, each costs ₱1,399,500, which are intended for 24/7 transportation of residents, especially during emergencies.
Delta.
The barangays that received the said vehicles are Manibaug Pasig and Poblacion in Porac, Culubasa and San Patricio in Mexico, Sta. Maria in Mabalacat City, and San Pablo in Guagua.
Regie Pineda, captain of Brgy. Culubasa, expressed gratitude for the new vehicle, noting its crucial role in emergency situations due to their barangay’s distance from urban centers and hospitals.
During the awarding ceremony, Barangay Dau in Mabalacat City also received a dump truck worth ₱1,450,000, while DepEd Pampanga was awarded two units of the 2022 Foton Gratour MT, each costing ₱910,000.
