Gov. Nanay calls for unity, good governance among Pampanga officials

“Wag na tayong mag-away, magtulungan tayo. Hindi ko po ito kakayanin kung wala kayo.”

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda on Tuesday urged local officials across the province to set aside political differences and work together for the benefit of the Kapampangan people, during the L.E.A.D. Program (Leadership, Ethics, Accountability, and Development in Local Governance) held at Kingsborough International Convention Center.

The program was organized by the Provincial Government of Pampanga in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Pampanga, and was attended by mayors, vice mayors, and councilors from various towns and cities.

Governor Pineda emphasized that unity and cooperation among elected officials will lead to greater development and improved services for the province.

Among the key speakers was DILG Undersecretary for Local Government Marlo L. Iringan, who discussed the importance of the Local Government Code in effective governance.

The seminar also included a refresher course for local officials covering:
✅ Drafting and passing local ordinances
✅ Solid Waste Management
✅ Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign
✅ Local legislative processes
✅ Proper procedures for approving government permits to ensure legality of LGU transactions

The L.E.A.D. Program aims to strengthen collaboration and accountability among Pampanga’s elected leaders and equip them with the right tools to serve effectively and ethically.
