Gov. Nanay orders CIDG to prioritize anti-drug, road scam crackdown

Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has directed Police Colonel Grant Gollod, the newly appointed Regional Chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 3, to focus on addressing the drug problem in Mabalacat and Angeles City.

The governor issued the directive during Gollod’s courtesy call at the Capitol on Monday, September 15.

Gollod assumed his post on September 5, replacing Police Lieutenant Colonel Cristopher Guste, who has been reassigned to Camp Crame-PHAU.

Aside from the drug issue, Gov. Pineda also raised the concerns of motorists regarding the so-called “patulo” or “paihi” schemes, where syndicates allegedly mix water with diesel fuel to defraud small consumers.

The CIDG, together with the Provincial CIDG and the Pampanga Police, assured the governor of immediate action to address these problems and maintain peace and order in the province.
