Hann Foundation, CDC partner for Chapel of the Holy Child enhancement in Clark

Hann Foundation, Inc. (HFI) has taken a key role in supporting cultural heritage preservation in Clark after formalizing a partnership with Clark Development Corporation (CDC) for the renovation and beautification of the Chapel of the Holy Child in Nayon sa Clark.

The partnership was sealed through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on January 18, coinciding with the Feast of the Sto. Niño, marking a significant step in strengthening efforts to preserve one of Clark’s culturally significant landmarks.

Under the agreement, Hann Foundation will allocate ₱2 million for the donation of twelve floor-mounted air-conditioning units for the chapel. The upgrade is expected to improve comfort for parishioners and visitors, especially during hot and humid months, while also helping preserve the chapel’s interior finishes and materials.

Discussions are also ongoing to expand the scope of the partnership to include additional enhancement works. Now under the management of CDC, sustaining the chapel’s structure and facilities has become an increasing priority.

The project is funded under Hann Foundation’s Cultural Heritage Pillar, which supports initiatives that protect, promote, and sustain culturally significant sites. The Chapel of the Holy Child, a replica of the historic Barasoain Church, holds deep historical and cultural value tied to Philippine identity.

Both HFI and CDC emphasized that the initiative goes beyond infrastructure improvements, serving as an investment in cultural preservation to ensure that future generations can continue to experience and honor the heritage site.
