About 868 Tuberculosis-stricken Kabalen from the second district of Pampanga received assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda and Lubao Mayor Esmeralda Pineda personally visited and greeted the beneficiaries who went to the Lubao Gym despite the heavy downpour.

Each beneficiary underwent consultation, with the assistance of the nurses and doctors of the “Alagang Nay Preventive Healthcare Program.”

Other TB patients were X-rayed with the help of the Kapitolyo’s Mobile X-ray machine.

Guagua Mayor Anthony Joseph Torres, Board Members Fritizie David Dizon, Sajid Eusoof, and Claire Lim also joined in the distribution of P3,000 cash aid from the DSWD and food packs from the Capitol .

According to the DOH, TB is a type of disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis that often affects the lungs.
