Hotelogix secures BIR Certification for hotel tax compliance

Hotelogix, a global provider of cloud-based hospitality management solutions, has officially secured certification from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), becoming one of the few cloud-based property management system (PMS) providers to meet the Philippines’ stringent fiscal compliance requirements.

The certification enables Hotelogix to support hotels across the country in streamlining tax filing processes, reducing administrative workloads, and ensuring adherence to government-mandated regulations. The BIR, under the Department of Finance, requires businesses — including hotels — to issue compliant official receipts, maintain accurate books of accounts, and submit timely tax filings. Its ongoing digitalization initiative also mandates the use of certified systems capable of delivering transparency, traceability, and real-time reporting.

Aditya Sanghi, CEO of Hotelogix, said the BIR certification marks an important milestone for the company’s Philippine operations. “Becoming BIR-certified is a strategic milestone in our journey with hotels across the Philippines. It means that the same solution they already trust to run day-to-day operations can now also underpin regulatory compliance. We want to give hotels the confidence to grow, knowing that compliance, governance, and guest service are all supported by one modern, secure, and future-ready system,” he said.

Hotelogix currently serves over 10,000 active users and more than 15,000 hotel keys in the Philippines. Its clients include major hospitality groups such as Global Officium Limited Inc. (GOLI), Enable Hospitality, Araw Hospitality Group, Astoria Hotels and Resorts, Azalea Hotels and Residences, and The Henry Hotels. With the new certification, Hotelogix users can now issue BIR-compliant tax documents and prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with national standards.

The company said this development strengthens its leadership position in the Philippine hospitality technology sector and is expected to accelerate adoption among hotels prioritizing compliance and digital transformation.
