𝐈𝐁𝐏 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Pampanga Chapter (IBP-Pampanga) on Saturday inducted 70 new member-lawyers, including two who were among the top 20 topnotchers in the recent Bar exams.

IBP National Executive Director Atty. Jose Perpetuo Lotilla was the guest of honor and inducting officer, while OIC Governor for Central Luzon Atty. Maria Imelda ‘IQ’ Tuazon and Atty. Jose Teodoro who represented Mayor Vilma Caluag delivered messages.

𝐴𝑙𝑒𝑗𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑟𝑜 𝐵𝑢𝑎𝑛 𝑠𝑎𝑖𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑎 𝑡𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑜𝑓 70 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑙𝑎𝑤𝑦𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑡𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑜𝑎𝑡ℎ, 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑟 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 1,200 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟.

𝐼𝐵𝑃-𝑃𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑎 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑧𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑃ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠’ 𝐵𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑜𝑐𝑐𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑡.

The welcome rites were led by IBP-Pampanga officers, headed by President Atty. Alejandro Buan.

In his speech, Buan expressed “We can’t wait and we’re excited to see you become actively involved in the many committees of the chapter. Your fresh and innovative ideas passion and energy will definitely contribute to providing quality legal services especially to indigent clients.”

Among those who were inducted are 9th placer Atty. Grace Abigail Bautista from Angeles University Foundation and 13th placer Atty. Marvin Joseph Ocampo from the University of the Philippines.

Honored during the event were new members and veteran lawyers who have made their contributions in their law practice, and had also served various capacities in the private and government sectors.

Among those who were honored were former Angeles City Mayor and now CDC Chairman Atty. Edgardo Pamintuan, former Solicitor General and Justice Minister Estelito Mendoza, former Court of Appeals Presiding Justice Remedios Salazar-Fernando, former Concon Delegate Atty. Ric Sagmit, former CDC VP for Security retired general Ramsey Ocampo, former IBP Central Luzon Governors Atty. Wilfredo Untalan and Atty. Peter Paul Maglalang, former IBP-Pampanga Chapter presidents Atty. Atlee Viray, Atty. Orlando Pangilinan, and Atty. Wilfrido Mangiliman.

The chapter also recognized lawyers and partners from the PNP-CIDG for their successful campaign against fake notaries.

With the 70 new members, the local chapter now has 1,267 lawyers in its roll. IBP-Pampanga has been recognized as the Philippines’ Best Chapter on many occasions in the past.

IBP-Pampanga Officers are Attorneys Alejandro Buan, President; Catherine Masuelo, Vice President; Joy Casupanan-Aranas, Secretary; Daryl Liangco, Treasurer; Miguelito Pama, Auditor); and Marjorie Panaligan, PRO. Meanwhile, the Board of Directors are Attorneys Jovy Ann Atinaja; Regina Gopez; Nicole Roland Enriquez; Israel Forto; Mark Anthony Manuel; and, Socrates Padua (Ex-Officio)
