InLife, the Philippines’ first and largest Filipino life insurance company, recently hosted an exclusive forum for its policyholders, providing valuable insights into local and global market trends, fund updates, and Feng Shui advice.
The event, titled “The View Beyond: 2025 Market Outlook and Guiding Insights,” was organized by Amorsolo Circle, InLife’s exclusive program for its valued policyholders. Held at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, the forum also took place at Nustar Hotel Cebu to reach more of InLife’s clients across the country.
Ron Lantin, InLife’s Fund Manager, shared his perspective on the challenges faced by the local stock market in 2024, stating that the outlook for 2025 remains uncertain, particularly due to fluctuations in the US market. “While the local market continues to face hurdles in returning to pre-pandemic levels, it’s essential to recognize the opportunities that lie ahead,” Lantin said, emphasizing the need for strategic thinking despite the risks.
Anis Tiasiri, Executive Director of Southeast Asia Funds at JP Morgan Asset Management, provided a positive update on InLife’s investment strategy, highlighting the strong performance of its well-diversified, income-generating approach. “Despite market challenges, the strategy offered policyholders a high single-digit return with relatively low drawdowns,” Tiasiri noted.
Shuangwei Liao, Associate Director of Intermediary Sales at Fidelity International, focused on the technology sector, which continues to present investment opportunities. “Tech stocks have outperformed broader markets since 2023, and the sector is expected to experience strong earnings growth in the coming years,” Liao said, advising selectivity in investment decisions.
Meanwhile, Feng Shui expert Patrick Lim Fernandez of The Yin and Yang Shop of Harmony shared insights on how the Year of the Wood Snake could impact fortunes. He noted that the year emphasizes networking, collaboration, and adaptability. “Your luck is shaped by both your energy and effort. Patience is key—things will unfold at the right time, and it’s important to be flexible,” Fernandez advised attendees.
