Inspection of water sources in Angeles City

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. on February 8, 2024 deployed the City Health Office (CHO) and the Business Permit and Licensing Division (BPLD) to check all the water sources of Mining Elementary School amid reports of diarrhea and stomach flu.

CHO Sanitation Division head Alvin Dingal and Business Permit and Licensing Division chief Enrico Romero led the inspection, which is compliance with Mayor Lazatin’s Mayor Lazatin released Memorandum No. 370 Series of 2024, which orders the said offices to test all the water sources of all schools in the city for E.coli and coliform.

This order was prompted by the alleged rising number of stomach flu incidents in both public and private hospitals in the city.

The other public and private schools in the city will also be visited by CHO and BPLD via schedule.

“We are doing this to ensure na safe po ang iniinom na tubig ng ating mga estudyante,” Lazatin said.
