Keeping the Legacy of Angeles City Mayors alive

In a meaningful tribute to history and leadership, the Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, formally unveiled the portrait paintings of former Angeles Mayors today at the City Hall lobby.

More than a gallery display, the project stands as a heartfelt homage to the leaders who dedicated their lives to serving the city. It builds upon the early initiatives of the previous administration while breathing new life into the visual record of Angeles’ past.

As Mayor Lazatin viewed the existing portraits, he observed that some pieces required restoration and enhancement—not only in artistic quality but in capturing the depth and dignity each leader deserves. From this realization came the commitment to revitalize the portraits, ensuring that every face reflects the legacy it represents.

Among the artists who lent their skill and passion to the project are Rolly L. Suba, Milan B. Pilares, Edu P. Perreras, and Ramil S. Tumampos.
